Our connection to Garibaldi is simple, he visited Bedford in 1865 an established relationships with the local iron works / workers to product steel for his conquest and fight to unify Italy. Whilst here, he planted a sequoia tree, this stump now sits in the Cecil Higgins Museum, the was also the Grand Master of the Grand Orient of Italy.

Honor Amicitia Integratis

Our motto is ‘Honor, Friendship, Integrity’ – this culminates each of the brethren who are members, we pride ourselves with our masonic efforts in the temple and ensure we have fun, enjoy each others company and give back to our local community.

Our Banner

Our Banner

Both Italian and British national flags joined together in Masonic unity by the universal square and compass perfectly positioned over a laurel wreath. The laurel being a native of the Mediterranean region and a laurel wreath has been used throughout time in many ways in Romans and Greeks myths, but in modern days it is an emblem of victory in Achievement, Peace and Unity and synonymous with Honor.
